Edler lifts Canucks over Preds in shootout

02/07/2012 - Nashville, TN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Alexander Edler scored in the sixth round of a shootout Tuesday night, lifting the Vancouver Canucks to a 4-3 win over the Nashville Predators.

Edler challenged Pekka Rinne from the left side, skating deep into the zone and flipping a shot past his right pad. At the other end, Colin Wilson was able to slide a shot under Roberto Luongo from the right, but the puck drifted wide on the far side of the net.

The Canucks beat the Predators for the second time in three games this season, though Tuesday's game was the first time the teams met in Nashville since last year's Western Conference semifinals, which Vancouver won in six games.
